Barking dogs

Discovery Shut Up GIF by Shark Week

You can ask your neighbor to let the dogs inside. If that doesn't work and your town has a noise ordinance, you can call the cops and they'll come out and threaten to fine the neighbors if they don't keep the dogs quiet. Some places will call the ASPCA (is that the right group?) and they'll make sure the dogs are taken care of and not neglected.

I will speak to my neighbor about it. I don't like to hear dogs bark. I am someone that is closer to cats than dogs. So, I won't keep quiet about it.

I personally would speak to my neighbor about the dog and let them know that the barking was causing an issue and would leave it at that. If they didn't make any attempt to calm the dog or prevent the annoying barking I would then report it.

I have a neighbor myself, she has a little dog and she often lets her out into the garden and when she does, she tends to bark a lot, she will either tell her to be quiet or will bring her in if she gets too much.

If I speak with the neighbour and if he or she doesn't care to do something reasonable about it, I will report him or her to authorities for noise pollution.

Since posting this thread I now have 2 dogs. Thankfully they don't bark a lot. I did hear my neighbor tell one of my dogs to "shut up" recently when they were barking. The side walkway of my backyard is near my neighbors driveway. Whenever they are getting in or out of their car AND if my dogs happen to be outside, the dogs will hear them and bark. The neighbor hasn't brought it up to me, but I feel bad for them being annoyed.

The old neighbor next door likes putting his dog out to bark at 11:30pm at night. >.<
How messed up is that? What is his aim exactly? I don't like being bothered by dogs barking because it will register to me that something is wrong. I won't be at rest because I will be thinking the dog is seeing something, that's why it is barking.

We live in an apartment and got our dog taken away cause the maintenance guy yelled at us, saying she barked too much. 😭 Even though the other neighbors dogs bark too!! 😡My in-laws have her which is good cause they don't live far.

We do have a dog somewhere that barks ALL the time. 🤬 Even at night. So I know they keep them outside and that just breaks my heart.

The great thing about renting is you can put in your 30 day notice at anytime and move somewhere else. I’d rather move than lose my dogs. They are like family to me.

I have two neighbors with dogs, one to the right of me and one across the street. They do bark but the neighbors never let them bark for long. Five minutes max, so I can live with that.

We live in a SMALL town and no where to rent. Sadly. I'm on SSI and my husband is on a Vets petition. Thats what we live off of. We don't even qualify for food stamps. :(
