Beetlejuice 2: Tim Burton & Michael Keaton to Return, Production Eyeing May Start Date

Development on the long-gestating legacy sequel, Beetlejuice 2, seems to be finally ramping up. Following news that Wednesday and Scream VI star Jenna Ortega is now circling a lead role in the project, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Beetlejuice director Tim Burton is expected to return to the director’s chair, with star Michael Keaton reprising the title role.

About damn time. I deeply enjoyed the first one. I always wanted them to make a second movie when I was a little boy. I was disappointed that they never did.

They've been going on about this one for years but this looks promising this time.

I used to love Beetlejuice when I was a kid. I lost count of how many times I and my brothers watched that movie and we never seemed to get bored of it, I do think my mum got sick of it a little though with how much we watched it LOL. Looking forward to seeing a Beetlejuice 2 though, it's taken a long time but I hope it's worth the wait when they release it.

I'm very conflicted about this. Beetlejuice is my all time favorite Tim Burton film, and I'm hoping the sequel will be good but I just don't really know if it needed one. It already has a musical, which is odd IMO. xD
