One of my favorite live action shows of all time is definitely BtVS. There was a movie that came out in the early 90's, I've seen it when I was younger but I prefer the show. My favorite character is Willow, I had a huge crush on Allison Hannigan when I was a kid though. xD I still think Tara shouldn't have been killed off, but let me tell you it was satisfying seeing Dark Willow killing Warren, and the way she did so was good too. I never got around to reading the comics, but they continued the story for a while after the show ended in 2003. Did you ever watch the show? It's currently streaming on Hulu if you want to watch it!

I watched most of it. I was hoping they'd make a Japanese anime adaptation on it like they did with Supernatural.
