How often do you upgrade your tech devices?

Every year new versions of every tech is released. For instance this years has seen the release of iPhone 16 and the pro model of PS 5.
When you see these upgrades, do you make changes swiftly or you keep on using the previous versions?

I upgrade when it breaks. I've had this phone for a year or two.

I don't like to upgrade all the time. We also need to see if the upgrade is so important or if we can do fine with the old device too.

I am not one for upgrades. I am manging well with my desktop and a couple of feature phones. I wonder why one needs four camera in a mobile!!

I no longer frequently upgrade my gadgets since I went through a period of financial struggle a few years ago. I made a promise to myself to upgrade only when my devices were broken. My current smartphone is nearly four years old, and my backup phone is over five years old. Both are still working perfectly fine up to this day.

If my current device is doing just fine, I don't see the need to do away with it so I can get the latest version.
