Niche Forum vs General Discussion Forums

Do you like niche forums or general discussion forums? Well, I like to create niche forums because I believe niche forums are easier to mange and also bring in targeted traffic. I also like to post on niche forums as I will be learning and also sharing on particular topics.

I like all in ones and not ones that are designed to one Specific topic such as cat or dog forums.

I prefer general discussion ones. I've run ones such as webmaster but it took on more work.

I prefer mixed like the one i have but general discussion are good too.

I love my niche forums, but in all honesty, my general forum has loads of new posts each time I visit it. It's growing significantly, too.

I've quite enjoyed running a general forum

It's difficult to get members for niche forums. Other people are asking the question "Well, who are you?". There's a lot of jealousy going on, false accusations about the forum just being you "showing off".

That's very true. If your forum is a niche forum it is really difficult to get active members as you will have to focus only on those who are interested in that niche. However, niche forums also builds up into authority site, which think is kind of cool
