Single Niche Vs. Multiple Niches

Do you like to create single niche forum or a forum with multiple niches? What are your reasons for choosing a single niche, or multiple niches for that matter? Do you think single niche forums can get more activities or a forum with multiple niches?

A forum with Multiple Niches like SWC because it gives members the ability to stay active and post if they dont like one subject they can find a subject that interest them.

Agreed, but having multiple niches will also make you difficult to get targeted traffic.

I keep my forums geared toward a specific niche.

I have a general forum that, like this one, covers multiple topics. That's really the only one I'd call a multiple-niche forum. It's growing on me, too!

I think running a general discussion forum along side niche forum is really great idea. I don't like off topic discussion on my niche forums.
