Sonic Rumble, SEGA’s upcoming multiplayer platformer-royale inspired by Fall Guys, is edging closer to release. In a recent announcement, SEGA confirmed that pre-registration for the game is officially live across all platforms: the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Players can pre-register starting now and continuing until the game’s launch. A new trailer was also unveiled as part of the pre-registration campaign.
However, the exact release date remains unconfirmed. While the Apple App Store currently lists February 28 as a tentative date, SEGA has clarified that this is a placeholder. According to the official roadmap, the global release is still expected sometime this winter.
To incentivize pre-registration (or wishlisting on Steam), SEGA is offering in-game rewards tied to registration milestones. Starting at 200,000 total sign-ups, rewards include rings, stickers, a Chao, and two character skins—one of which draws inspiration from the Sonic movies by Paramount.
One noteworthy aspect of the game’s Steam release is its inclusion of kernel-level anti-cheat software, Uncheater. While this method has become a standard feature in many major multiplayer titles, such as Fortnite and VRChat, its deep access to users’ operating systems has made it a topic of debate.
Sonic Rumble’s full release will also mark the conclusion of its staggered rollout, which began in select regions.
