The first part of Peter Jackon's New Zealand-made fantasy trilogy begins in the bucolic bliss of The Shire, where a short, furry-footed folk called Hobbits dwell. When Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) comes into the possession of an evil magical ring, he is forced to leave home under the advice of a wise old wizard, Gandalf (Ian McKellen). Frodo and three of his kinsfolk are advised by the Elves that the ring must destroyed in the fires of Mt Doom, deep in the dark land of Mordor. So a fellowship sets out on the quest, comprising of four hobbits, two humans, an elf, a dwarf and a wizard.

In the second chapter, the Fellowship has dispersed after an attack of Uruk-Hai. Frodo and Sam head south towards Mordor, with the slippery creature Gollum on their trail. Meanwhile, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli pursue the remaining kidnapped hobbits westward across the plains of Rohan, where the Norse-like horsemen dwell. Here they find the once proud people under the spell of the evil Wizard Saruman, who keeps a hold on them from his tower in Isengard. The struggle for the ring now comes from two directions - Saruman's tower in the west and the dark lord Sauron's in the east.

The epic climax in the fantasy saga sees all races of Middle Earth, both good and evil, drawn into a war for domination. As Frodo and Sam inch ever closer to their fate in Mordor, Aragorn wrestles with his insecurities about claiming his rightful place as the King of Men.

Such amazing movies, i haven't watched them in so so long, but also you need to be in the mood for them lol

I liked the Lord of The Rings trilogy. I was not so fond of The Hobbit trilogy they brought out.
