The films were written, produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The trilogy consists of Unbreakable (2000), Split (2016), and Glass (2019).

I loved these movies. Especially Sarah Paulson in Glass.

I liked them overall. Unbreakable is my favorite, telling the unique story of a Superman who didn't know he was Superman. I also liked Split, which was carried largely by James McAvoy's campy, over-the-top performance as the antagonist. Glass was s'kay. It was a film that swallowed its own tail in the end, I think, which is a reoccurring issue with M. Night films, but I enjoyed the first half or so of it a fair amount.

The use of DID was a bit extreme in the film. I have DID and I'm nothing like that mind you I haven't "switched" for a few years.

For most instances, like this, where you want to use a real thing to basically apply to whatever you want with no real responsibility, it's better to simply make something up, all imagination-like.

I have watched M. Night Shyamalan's movies and I really liked The Village. However, I am yet to watch any movie in this series.
