When the travel bug bites you

The travel bug bit me good and proper. I have lost count of the number of tours I have been on. The first one was to Kashmir in my very own country. It covered other places around. Having never experienced snow I got the first taste of Snow in Kashmir.

My area (Southern Illinois, USA) is full of state parks and a 300,000-acre National Forest.

I'm lucky enough to live close to everything. Every weekend and a few days a week sometimes we go hike, bike, kayak, or camp in it.

I do a little bit of traveling out of state, but local regional travel that we do every weekend is my all-time favorite way to do it.

Inexpensive, too!
