Chrono Cross is a role-playing game developed by Square Enix and released for the PlayStation in 1999. The game is a sequel to the classic SNES game Chrono Trigger and follows the story of a young man named Serge, who finds himself transported to an alternate dimension where he must gather a team of heroes to prevent the destruction of the world. The game features multiple endings and branching paths, which makes each playthrough a unique experience. The characters are also well-written and have their own motivations and backstories, making them feel like real people rather than just RPG archetypes.

What are your thoughts on Chrono Cross? Have you played it before, and if so, what did you think?

I remember when it first came out. I was a huge fan of Chrono Trigger so was excited. I remember when I first played I was disappointed it wasn’t 2D graphics like Chrono Trigger.

I don’t recall getting far when I first started. I wasn’t huge on the battle system. But played again some years later I think and got used to the battle system and the game grew on me. In the end I did like it. Story for the game was awesome and the music was great. Definitely not as good as Chrono Trigger though.

I never even beat the game as a kid! I liked it, but just never have gone back to it.

I think I was in middle school when it came out. Not 100% though. Not sure how old I was when I did finally play it and beat it. I don't think I really did the other endings though, or not much of them. My brother liked Chrono Trigger as well, and did try this but couldn't deal with the battle system so he refused. XD

When the remaster came out for Switch then I did all the endings. That edition was cool since it came with the Radical Dreamers game or whatever you want to call it the game was loosely based on but never came out outside Japan. That thing was pretty cool too.
