I use Cash On Delivery as long as it is a payment option available on the platform where I am purchasing. I don't even mind paying little extra for COD. By choosing this payment option, I think I will be on safer side in case the seller tries to cheat on me with bad products. Do you use this payment option?

I never use Cash On Delivery and pay online through the Unified Payment Interface system or through vouchers.

This is because everytime they deliver a product, it would most probably before 5 PM when no one is there at my house except my little dog.

I have recently taken to the habbit of paying with credit card for vouchers and then using them to earn points to pay for hotels.

What is cash on delivery ?

figured that but never thought someone would use that term lol.
LOL, its quite common in here to pay via cash, most e-commerce websites have COD, Cash on on Delivery option and some have changed that to POD, Pay on Delivery, its best when you are not sure if the product will arrive or not and is a new website.

I prefer cash on delivery too. Some people are scammers, and they entice people with affordable merchandise as a way to lower them into paying before they actually receive their purchases. To weed out scammers i opt for COD.
I agree, its a good option but since I always buy from trusted websites where I can return or replace, I don't mind paying upfront as it helps me save money in the form of cashback and bank offers.

If you are working with trusted websites then it's ok to pay upfront. Sometimes i like to support local brands and suppliers. Because it would be my first time dealing with them I prefer COD.

I know and it makes sense to go for Cash on Delivery or Pay on Delivery when working with new websites but I prefer to stick with popular names like Amazon, Flipkart etc so I don't need to go for Cash.

Most of my online shopping is done through Amazon.in where I have an account with Amazon Pay I make my payment through Amazon Pay
That's perfect, I am doing the same. You can also opt for Amazon Pay ICICI credit card and get 5% cashback on all shopping orders, it applies if you have amazon prime.

I only buy on those websites when what I want isnt locally available because it takes 30 to 60 days for the purchase to be delievered to me. I use ebay, Shien, and AliExpress. Amazon and Flipkart don't deliver to Botswana.

I do not own a credit card and have no desire to own one. I have an ICICI debit card that I use to transfer money to Amazon Pay.

I used to be like you until Sep 2023 but after that everything changed, I applied for my first credit card ,and after approval I came to know the way we can use it effectively and save money, earn cashback etc.

If you are not there to pick up your item, using Cash on delivery payment system can be a nuisance. I wish they gave us points for using credit cards here as well.
