I have a theology forum, but I don't advertise it strongly because people don't like religion forced on them, but alternatively, I'd like to promote it thru Facebook to people interested in it.

What is your thinking on advertising?

I do agree that people do not like to be forced when it comes to religion but I also believe that people are very passionate about religion and they are interested n religious discussion. As far as advertising on facebook is concerned, I do not think you can get a lot of signups though social media ads

I don't agree at all. Plenty of people would visit the forum if targeted, but I don't have the cash right now.

Have you run ad campaigns for forums on Facebook? Did you get a lot of sign ups? If your answer is positive you need to teach me how to do this.

I got thousands of members for my drumming page once, but I haven't tried the religion niche yet.

Note: it was all paid.

You mean you paid for those who joined or you were running a paid ads? If you were successful with ads for your drumming forum, you might try with religion as well. I see a lot of religious discussion on facebook and I don't think it would be a problem
