Have you ever listened to music on a 8-track tape?

Though 8-tracks came out about a year after compact cassette tapes, they were popular during the 60's until the early 80's. This was long before I was born, however my uncles had some 8-track tapes in my grandma's basement and I remember finding one of them as a kid. My parents told me what 8-tracks were, and my dad actually had a record player that had a 8-track player built in. Though the 8-track player didn't work at the time, and he never got it fixed so I never actually listened to music on a 8-track before.

No, I haven't... they'd already been obsolete for almost a decade by the time I was born :P .

We couldn't afford any 8-tracks until they became available at rummage sales, then I picked up a portable player and some music, and they wouldn't all work. It was awful and really didn't sound the greatest. Cassettes sounded far better!!
