I really love the effects and the creatures. When I was a kid I had a chest full of toy guns and would be in the woods pretending to fight whatever b-movie creatures I had seen over the weekend marathons on Syfy.

I do. I'm a fan of the Halloween series with Michael Myers. I have the "IT" movies but I'm waiting to watch them until I've finished reading the book.

I did years ago however they have not made any good ones in the last ten years or more, the last few I watched I never finished.
They just seemed boring and not well-written.
