How Long Have You Been Running Forums

I started my first forum in 2017. It was a forum for my in-house writers in my online magazine. When I sold thew site, the forum was also take over by the new owner. I created my first stand along and a public forum in 2019. I sold that forum in 2021 for a good price. Currently, I have one forum that I have been running since 2022. What about you?

Since about 2001, on and off.

They've only ever been hobbyist projects though, each one reached a natural end - I have never sold any of them.

I started this hobby seriously around 2014 maybe. I had discovered Postloop and soon after Forum Promotion (forum).

And before that, I was running some blogs related to drum lessons and employment. I started on that around 2008.

I have been running forums on and off since 2010.
I am now currently starting a new general discussion forum which I will also be active on.

I have been running forums since around 2004 when I started my first forum. In the first few years, it was a lot of trial and error for me with things going wrong and having to open and close forums and change things. It wasn't until 2009 that I created Chat Addicts in which I had that forum from 2009 - 2017 which became quite successful.

I unfortunately had to close the forum as the hosting costs rose by quite a lot and I wanted to move on to something new
