I haven't seen the show as I do not have a Netflix subscription at the moment but of the clips I have seen of Wednesday, she played the character amazingly and it's a shock to hear that she at first turned it down so many times.

I don't blame her for being cautious by rejecting the role. Many people who have been in television show productions did get walled off from being able to do movies and I have to say that's really not fair.
