I did delete a whole lot of posts and threads after the merge from the merged forum because they weren't needed. Maybe that's why it corrected itself.

Thats probably what did it, I am not too bothered about it.

We started with over 5000 threads after the merge but a lot weren't needed and I'm not into having a big thread count for the sake of it

The sad part is unlike other forums here the level of interaction here is extremely poor

There are so many users here All they have to do is read the threads and say something sensible The count in general will rise at a galloping speed - just saying

May be to set the pace a tiny incentive could perhaps help. Threads just lying there with no one looking at them is not normally the case with forums.

Maybe not years ago but these days with social media taking over and new social media platforms coming along all the time forums get left out
