Paid Staff or Volunteers

Do you have paid staff on your forum or do you run your forums entirely through volunteers? Currently, I do not have staff on my forums but in the past I had paid staff. I do not like the idea of having people to work for free. I need to give them even a small cash incentives. What about you?

I don't have the activity to justify either, but if I did, I would pay them.

And, actually, my Facebook group has real activity and could use paid moderation, but I can't afford it at the moment.
